Trained by JP CV-Burn
CV-Burn is built for one specific slot: the half-hour before a cardio session, when intensity is the thing most likely to slip.
Cardio in a calorie deficit is where training quality falls apart first — the session gets shorter, slower, and easier to skip. CV-Burn is an intensity stimulator designed to keep the effort where it needs to be, so the session you planned is the session you do.
Take it before cardio and conditioning work rather than before lifting, where a full pre-workout serves you better.
180g tub.
Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone sensitive to caffeine. Do not exceed the stated dose, and avoid taking it close to bedtime.

Our honest take
A flavoured stimulant powder from Trained by JP, designed to be taken before cardio. We have not yet been able to verify the full ingredient doses or the caffeine per scoop, so check the tub label before you use it. Like any fat burner, it cannot cause meaningful fat loss on its own: the caffeine may make cardio feel easier, which has some value, but the calorie deficit does the work. A coffee before cardio is the cheaper comparison.
- You like Trained by JP products and want a flavoured drink before cardio
- You are a healthy adult who tolerates caffeine and is already eating in a calorie deficit
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or have a heart condition or high blood pressure
- You already use a pre-workout or drink several coffees a day
- You want to know every dose before you buy: check the label with us first
The science
Caffeine· evidence: Strong
Caffeine is one of the best-supported performance aids, with consistent research showing it can improve endurance, strength and alertness. The doses used in research are usually 3–6 mg per kg of body weight, taken about an hour before exercise.
The catch is the dose: it adds to any coffee, tea or energy drinks you already have, and it can disrupt sleep if taken later in the day. There is no authorised health claim for caffeine and sports performance in the UK.
Typical dose: Research doses are 3–6 mg per kg of body weight
Safety: High caffeine content. Not recommended for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. Healthy adults should keep total caffeine from all sources to no more than 400 mg a day and 200 mg at a time. Avoid late in the day and do not combine with other caffeine products.
