Allnutrition Probiotic 100 Ultimate
Allnutrition's Probiotic 100 Ultimate keeps it simple: selected bacterial species in a capsule.
What it is
- A blend of selected live bacterial species
- Check the label for the full strain list and the count per capsule
How to use
Take as directed on the pack, with water.
A food supplement, not a substitute for a varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of children.
At a glance
Insufficient
evidence for spore-forming cultures (bacillus)
Our honest take
A low-cost capsule based on LactoSpore, a spore-forming Bacillus coagulans culture that is stable without refrigeration. Human evidence for this strain is limited and there are no authorised claims for live cultures. At under £6 for 60 capsules it is the cheapest culture we sell, which makes it a low-risk way to try one, but check the pack for the exact count and daily dose.
- You want the lowest-cost way to try a live culture
- You want a shelf-stable spore-forming strain
- You have a weakened immune system or are seriously ill, unless your doctor agrees
- You want a multi-strain product with full strain codes
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding and have not checked with your GP
The science
Spore-forming cultures (Bacillus)· evidence: Insufficient
Bacillus coagulans (now also called Heyndrickxia or Weizmannia coagulans, sold as LactoSpore and other brands) and Bacillus subtilis form hard spores. That makes them stable in gummies, powders and capsules without refrigeration, which is their main practical advantage.
Human studies on these strains are few, mostly small and often funded by ingredient makers, with mixed results. There are no authorised health claims, so we make no claims about what they do.
Typical dose: Products typically provide 1 to 3 billion spores a day.
Safety: Generally well tolerated. Speak to your doctor first if you have a weakened immune system or are seriously ill.
